Literacy is our school’s learning focus for the 25/26 school year.  Our targeted actions for this school year are in Professional Development, allocating funds towards literacy resources for Intermediate students, and accessing support from our District Consultants.

When looking at our Report Card Data for English Language Arts, and FSA Results for Literacy from the 24/25 school year, we can see that most of our students are on track.  At the same time, we are noticing that we have a high number of students who are Developing or Emerging in Literacy. 

In the fall of this school year, all classes did a school-wide reading assessments in Reading.  Staff noticed from the results of the assessments that reading comprehension is an area to focus on and specifically targeting reading strategies and developing background knowledge.
