The staff at Brighouse believe that an effective school is one in which parents and community support the school, participate in school activities, and actively participate in children's learning by sharing skills and talents.  To this end we encourage and value the contributions of parents to the educational life of the students.

Requests for parental participation in school programs are made through school newsletters.  Assistance is needed in a number of areas such as:  library, intermediate and primary classrooms (reading to children; making learning resources), field trip drivers, Food Days, special events (e.g. Sports Day), Early Warning, Fundraising and the Parent Advisory Committee. Please speak to your child's teacher or let the office know if you are able to volunteer for any of the above areas. Thank you in advance for your time and support!
