Every class in the school participated in our School-Wide Walk for Reconciliation. We planned out different routes to cater for age-appropriate walks, including a shorter walk around our school field, and varying lengths of routes through our surrounding neighbourhood. As a result, we had 100% participation in our Walk for Reconciliation. As a school, we understand that there is much work to be done to understand Canada's history properly and to work towards reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. The recent discoveries at Indian Residential Schools have been difficult to learn about and it is vital that we consider meaningful calls to action.
